About Ronnie Miller
From the Quarry
to the Point
I grew up outdoors, surface hunting for arrowheads and finding points wherever I could. My father, Roy Miller, is a master flint knapper who showed me the techniques that shaped my own work.
I started knapping in the mid-1990s and learned through countless hours of practice. Today I dig Flint Ridge stone, reduce it into workable spalls, and let every finished piece give me an idea for the next.

I dig and prepare the stone myself. No two pieces work the same, and every step teaches me something I can carry into the next point.
- 01Excavate
Premium flint is quarried from our family property at Flint Ridge.
- 02Reduce
The raw stone is broken down into workable spalls.
- 03Prepare
Each spall is inspected and heat-treated if necessary.
- 04Knap
Every point is knapped by hand using techniques passed down from my father and refined over 30 years of experience.
- 05Ship
Pickup or shipping is arranged so each finished piece can find its new home with a collector.

Some of the most beautiful flint in the world comes from our property at Flint Ridge. The stone can hold faded greens, soft teal blues, brick reds, and creamy whites. I dig it, reduce it into spalls, and heat-treat it only when the material needs it. The heat can make it easier to knap and bring out more of the color already in the stone.
