Before it reaches Ronnie's hands, Flint Ridge chert has spent thousands of years beneath Ohio soil. Ronnie excavates and hand-selects each stone for its natural color, grain, and character. Honey, cream, iron-rich rose, smoky gray, and green appear naturally in the material; nothing is painted or added. The stone is dried, studied, and knapped into modern lithic art.
